About Us
From its inception, the goal of Exam Design has been to create software that provides
built-in tools to reduce the need for expensive testing consultants. Exam Design
software is not built by a software company but rather people who have years of experience
designing and building hundreds of high-stakes assessments for associations, corporations and
government entities across the United States. For this reason, we will help defend the validity of any
assessment built using our software.
Unlike other test development software that attempts to build any kind of examination,
Exam Design has decided to target organizations interested in employment testing--typically
exams built to assist in decisions related to hiring, performance evaluation, training,
and compensation. Employment examinations require rigor and standardization in the
process used to build, administer, and analyze them. Our software (called
ExamDeveloper) closely implements this methodology, from the initial job
analysis through the final standard setting study.
ExamDeveloper was developed by Exam Design’s team of Organizational psychologists,
psychometricians, and other testing experts specializing in work-related assessments.
This team of experts has succeeded in developing examination software that combines
their experience and knowledge into a user-friendly product that guides organizations
through every step in the process.
Future Enhancements
ExamDeveloper Version 2.0 is currently in the beta-testing process and contains the
features as described in the current product information.
ExamDeveloper Version 3.0 looks to add on several impressive features. Specifically,
a secure administration tool, which will allow organizations to deliver their examinations
anywhere in the world. In addition, a powerful set of scoring tools will allow organizations
to use psychometric scoring techniques such as item response theory (IRT), test
equating, and scaled scoring. Finally, Version 3 will contain the capability to
administer JTA surveys to thousands of practitioners globally. When taken together,
Exam Developer 3 will support the entire exam development cycle
for organizations to develop, administer, and analyze their high-stakes exam.
